Better Try To Live Longer. Success Is Beckoning You.

At the beginning of every year, many of us make resolutions. Whether we stick to those resolutions or abandon them is another question that we may deal with later. Jonathan Swift, who authored the famous "Gulliver's Travels," said in 1699 that he had made a few resolutions in the beginning of that year and the most important and sensible among them was "Not to set(t) up for observing all these Rules; for fear I should observe none." So, let us not worry about making resolutions, not to talk of sticking to them. But there is one very important thing about which we need not make any resolution because knowingly or unknowingly, it is a desire we always have in our minds. The desire is nothing but to live as long as possible. This post talks about what you should do to try to live longer so that you can enjoy the success you always want to taste and the success that may be round the corner.


What is success?

We should now know what success means because its definition varies from one person to another. Some people think that success lies in amassing wealth, a few others think that they have to be famous and that is what success means to them, and according to a few other folks, success is consistently maintaining excellent relationships with friends and relatives. Of course, being fit and healthy is a form of success as well because without good health, no one can maintain a cheerful and debonair mood. But unfortunately, not everyone gives a serious thought about maintaining good health, until their coffers start getting emptied at a speed of considerable rapidity just for the sake of regaining their lost health. 

In short, in order to live longer and enjoy success, one has to keep fit and maintain his or her health. Let us find out how you should go about this. This post provides you with a few tips you can embrace without straining your neurons.

1. Boycott your gadgets.

Gadgets can be tyrannical because we almost get enslaved by them. The all-out assault these carnivores implement on our health and lives is nothing less than lethal. Of course, they can be efficient tools that can help us in our daily life but we should learn to use them with prudence. This means that we should use them only when there is an absolute necessity. Is it not naive to think that using the insidious mobile phones or laptops is the only way to know the latest world news, the inventions, and discoveries, or to listen to the babblings of our endlessly creative politicians? Health experts have belabored the following point time and again. If you cannot completely boycott your gadgets, you can at least refrain from using them between 8 pm and 8 am.

2. Take these minimum steps, at least.

Let us assume you are not interested in exercising or hitting the gym. No problem. You can still keep fit and maintain your health. How? Do not keep sitting for more than one hour. If necessary, keep a stopwatch to warn you that it is time to get up and walk at least 100 steps. Similarly, walk for 100 steps after every meal. 

3. A little less please.

Do a careful study of how you eat. If you think that eating belly-full is the right way, you are mistaken. It may harm you in the long run. So, stop eating when you think that you need to swallow two or three morsels more. This will do a world of good to your health. 

Never forget the fact that you can build the edifice of success and enjoy it only if you are fit and healthy. So, stick to the above tips and you are certain to live long and relish your success.
