Do You Think That There Are Useless People All Around?

Regardless of whether you have a firsthand experience or an indirect one, you may have concluded that there are useless people in every field. This conclusion clearly shows that you firmly believe that you belong to a select group of the elite or intelligenstia. Experts do not approve of such thinking. According to them, no person on this planet is perfect. If you consider imperfect people useless, it is absolutely imperative that you should immediately do an introspection. You may have several negative habits or behaviors, and so, there is no use in pointing fingers at others. The corollary to this is that you cannot correct others' behaviors. The only course availale to you is that you have to make amends to your ways. But unfortunately, there is no napalm that can quickly help you dispense with your negative habits or behaviors. This means that you should consistently strive to improve yourself.  Once you realize that you are not a perfect person, you must s...

When Should You Keep Quiet and Not Speak Anything?

Not many people are comfortable with keeping mum and not speaking anything. But certain occasions demand it. Let us find out what those occasions are. Keep mum when you get angry or are anxious. Anger is an emotion that can rob the peace of mind of people. In fact, there are several families and people who have lost their career or development opportunities and even their lives thanks to the negative impact of this emotion. Even if you get angry with your enemies or those who have harmed you, it is not they who will be affected. It is you and your health that will be negatively impacted.  The most important point you should remember is that things may not always go your way. When such situations arise, the first emotion you will have is "fear." But why at all do you fear? It is because of insecure feelings you will start fearing. There may be several reasons for such insecure feelings. Jealousy, constant thinking about the future, and "comparison syndrome" are maj...

Can You Improve Your Intelligence?

It is reliably learned that people stole Einstein's brain and did extensive research on it for knowing why he was more intelligent than billions of other humans. Learning to Say "No" to Unreasonable Demands

It was a serendipitous experience that led me to know the great benefits of saying "no" to most of the useless demands made on me. I was going through an article on a serious topic when another content created by a successful person popped up. This content talked at length about the great benefits of saying "no" to people who make unreasonable demands. I started trying the strategy. The greatest benefit I saw was that it saved me from becoming a victim of some of the people's buffoonery. I do not know if I will succeed in continuing this habit. But my in-depth study has taught me a few things that I wish to share here.  1. By saying "yes" to everything, you will have no room for real "yes" situations. If you are in the habit of saying "yes" to everything, you will find that you do not have either time or strength to work for situations that very much require your attention. This may be perilous to your growth as an individual as we...

Basic Steps for Becoming An Adult Prodigy

People justifiably heap praises on child prodigies but the fact is adult prodigies are certainly more impressive. This is because they are well past what are known as the “learning windows.” Despite this fact, these adult prodigies acquire high-performing and amazing skill sets. Take the case of Dr. Mary Hobson. Mary studied Russian when she was 56 and she went on to bag an award for being the best Russian translator of her times. Another example is that of Gary Marcus who was a neuroscientist and who learned to play guitar when he was 38. He self-learned to become a rocker. Michael Reddick a.k.a. Dan McLaughlin took to golf when he was in his thirties and is now playing to a 3.3 handicap.  These examples show that adults can find their hidden talents and become super-performers in their chosen skills. New researches are throwing light on the reasons for the success of these adult prodigies. According to one of the findings, these adults are able to surmount the two main...
