More about Success

What is success? The meaning of the word "success" is not the same for everyone. Why? The reason is that every person is unique and so is his or her perspective. But in general, the very thought of earning substantial money gives people tingles of excitement because, according to them, possessing or earning abundant money is the sign of success, and if they have a good amount of money, it will ameliorate their life.

It is also true that those who are not well-off nurture a tinge of jealousy towards affluent people. Communists call inequality in distribution of wealth unjustifiable. On the contrary, capitalists feel that communists' definition of equality is nothing but rannygazoo. Regardless of the opinions of communists and the capitalists, that success is nothing but earning substantial money is a myth.

Points to ponder.

1. Experts sagely nod their heads and say that success is all about our goals and the strategies or ways we adopt to achieve them. In fact, setting the right goal is the big kahuna one has to overcome. Even if you take the example of becoming rich, you should set a realistic goal that you can achieve within a reasonable period. If your goal is to become a millionaire within a month, it is an unrealistic goal (unless you win a lottery). Similarly, you cannot aim to shed 40 pounds of your weight in a fortnight. In short, you should set realistic goals. It is unfortunate that we often miss seeing the gap between perception, desire, and reality, though the gap is wide.

2. Once you set your goals, of course, realistic ones, you swing into action. Since they are your own goals and you have created them, you don't need permission from anyone to begin the activities required to translate them into reality. Instead of just thinking or doing infinite planning, you must start taking action and only then momentum is created. You may think that it is naivety to begin the required tasks without planning. True, a little planning is needed, but if you keep on planning and procrastinating, you are a waste.

The point that is emphasized here is that by creating momentum and taking purposeful, continuous, and consistent action, you create more and more momentum and fast-track the process of achieving your goals.

3. Some people think that they have to gain confidence before they take action. But experts advise that by setting tiny goals and achieving them will help you feel confident. In other words, you can manufacture confidence instead of waiting to feel confident before beginning your goal-related endeavors. On the contrary, if you try to do bigger tasks all at once, you may fail and so, your confidence may belly flop. Recovering from the shock it causes may be tough.

4. Never forget the fact that you are not infallible. There are bound to be mistakes that may lead to hiccups along your journey. But no hurdle or problem is insuperable. So, you need not be truculent towards yourself. You don't need to allow mortification to sweep you as well. You have to analyze things in the right perspective and without bias. This approach will provide you with the most appropriate tools and ways to overcome the hiccups and get back to the track once again. Patience and perseverance are the keys to overcome such roadblocks.

So, if you desire to coin money and amass wealth or achieve some other goals, you must get the above points firmly imprinted in your mind while taking purposeful action.
